"Treat the cause and not the consequences"
There are over 70 symptoms associated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME, Fibromyalgia and Long Covid. When I start working with clients it is not unusual for them to have multiple symptoms. Fatigue and pain are very often present, but others symptoms are wide ranging and far reaching, including cognitive, digestive and sensory issues. It seems common sense and logical to conclude that there must be a central issue going on in the body. That central issue is rooted in a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, combined with a brain/mind that is perceiving danger. The nervous system is impacting on other bodily areas e.g. the immune system, the digestive system etc.
Rather than trying to chase and fix individual symptoms e.g. through medication it is essential that you focus on addressing the central, hypersensitive nervous system and bringing it back into homeostasis.
